got another one out at entrance this afternoon around 15lb marbled, saw an orca out there cruising the tide line on the way out we'd fished can boy to neck point with nothing exciting on the sounder, fished out the deep water all the way from neck point to snake island with nothing, entrance seems to be holding the fish right now, had three out there in the last few days,

Here are BonChovy Fishing Charters and Pacific Angler have been producing some good results:

David Korsch of Predator Charters has also been doing very well and was over on a recent trip hooking quite a few.
Wow you "vancouver guys" sure can outfish us! Ill stop complaining. |

We started in the Thrasher area, deep water - it was only a few minutes before we were into a good barker...but Cheech lost it and he lost the next fish too, which must have been the sister to the first. He lost that one two. We got into quite a few fish for the day between Thrasher and the Grande in the deep, then we moved to Fingers for the balance of the day. All in all 21 fish, four were lost, two keepers in the 10 lbs range and the rest under sized. 139ft and 159ft were the magic depths for us. TKO, PT.Defiance, Diamond Lance, PAL PC3, Baitrix Strip, Needlfish hooch and green splatter back.

Not as good this morning as it was yesterday - today we started in the deep water near the fingers, we made a tack out and a tack back and then in toward Clarke rock, and then toward the can. By this time we managed one keeper around 12lbs and five other under sized throughout the trip. None were on spoons today, all were caught on needlefish and hoochies. 111 to 139 feet deep.

Fished Sunday way out, on a line between Grandee and Thrasher. Early birds reportedly were lighting it up, but we were slow. 2 undersize, and one acrobatic mid-teener at 160 on a spatterback cuttlefish. It was nice to see a decent number of boats out there.
Too much water, too little time |

Went out again this morning for the tide change, fished Ballenas. Not much happening out there, ended up with a decent yellow eye which is being eaten in a few minutes. Tried spoons and hootches from depths of 70 to 200 ft no bait at all.

| Ballenas has been oddly dead this year.Gronk if your havent tried it yet you should look in the gap at winchelsea. Hooked a few out there the last couple trips. |

Braved the ugliness off the fingers this afternoon - more off Neck Pt. than anything. Had one pin popper right away, so went back down to the same depth.
within 30 mins lost a beauty, about a 25lber behind the boat.
Nothing in the net today, but some action was nice for our first trip of the yr!
All action at 105 ft on purple haze flasher and glow green spoon. |

Heading out to Mudge on Thursday for 5 days to do some fishing with my buddy and 9 year old boy. Not too familiar with the fishing spots but have been to Thrasher before. Just some rookies from the flatlands that want to go catch a fish or two. Our home is by Dodd Narrows so any tips would be really appreciated.
thanks

Got out Sat morning. New to the area so I don't know the name of the spot but was a few knts north of Neck point, out in the middle of the strait. Had some success on the ole' reliable purple haze hoochie/flasher combo at btwn 115 and 140 on the rigger. Glow green spoon was the star of the morning however. 3 to 1 over the purple haze rig at similar depths. R |

Limit at Thrasher today...had 14 hits, 12 on, 2 double headers...biggest was 23 2 nice lings...one was a beauty blue that we lost once when he took the hooks and went back and got him again. 150 to 170 bait and army truck coyote was the ticket for us. couple miles off the rock for 4 then in tight for the last 2.
Cheers
