Lots of haly today out off pedder bay had 7 to the boat in two hours had one triple header good times, nothing big for me a couple rackets and the rest 30lb cookie cutters.Salmon was on fire till noon time off the bank biggest ave size i've had this year we had our 8 springs with 4 high teens all hatches. The ebb is when the springs are cranked off the bank.

Craven there are springs but they have moved from your area.

Can confirm that Oak Bay cooled off. One spring about slot size and wild to the boat - let it go without tinkering around to find out if legal or not. And one huge Cabezon almost 15# which will make a few excellent meals Guess I should have gone to Connie...oh well.

The Flats were good for us today. 6 fish on and all nice size, only one wild. 2 early then a great bite around 12:00-1:00.

The more you bounce the bottom and stir things up the better I find.

A nice day yesterday. Nice enough to just get out there on a day like that let alone have the bonus of catching fish! Lots of doggies, we lost count, and we sure went thru some bait. Percy got all the action with some specially prepared frazerbernt sockeye . I think the dogfish really like that , the halis didn't mind it either. We got out with a couple chickens and one released.
BTW, aren't these guys anchored a bit too close? We thought so, lucky they didn't stay long. They dropped the hook just as we were reeling in one of our halis.

Out of Pedder for some halibut this morning. Fished 7 -1230. Hit two halibut lost one, and landed one 30LB.

Almost had an incident out there. Some guy anchored near us in Trophy decided to move to a different spot on other side of me. Instead of picking up his anchor and moving he decides to go around me by dragging his anchor and circling around me very close (within 100ft). What the hell is the matter with people?

I will post a pic in a little bit of dummy of the week. Lucky he didn't pull up my anchor. Awesome weather couldn't have asked for a calmer day.

Started off salmon fishing off the bank wasn't as hot as sat but decent had to let go a couple nice fish got a couple 15lb hatches and some 6-10lbers to finish thing off then on to haly fishing very slow for the first couple hours we moved landed on em and got our 5 in short order largest was 40lbs,definatly salmon bellies today.

I saw a guy anchor his 16ft hourston rite in the middle of 15boats salmon fishing that was cool then i saw a guy in a group of 15 or so boats anchored from the stern you would think being in the middle of all those boats anchored bow first he might figure it out wow.

Oak Bay was loaded again today with springs. 12 fish on including five in the boat. Only one wild about 18 lbs released unharmed.

Barbless is starting too piss me off though. lol.

Trend the last 2 days is some of the largest fish that pull hard and peel line right off the bat are the ones that get off. Maybe they just take it lighter.

For a Sooke guy very impressed with the action over there!
