    Casting for sockeye

I have often wondered if you can cast for sockeye in the Alberni inlet. I will be staying a china creek for a while next week fishing. Im going to bring my casting rod and i know of a spot were there is a huge drop off that looks good.I will be fishing out in the boat but when the wind picks up latter in i want cast from shore. If this is possible does anyone know any good lures? I would apppreciate it.
Ps My friend and I caught 11 chinook and 4 coho yesterday in about 4 hours And i caught 9 chinook today and we were fishing mid afternoon.
None were keepers but im sure we will get one soon!

People jig for Sockeye in the Inlet all the time-but will they pass by where you're standing?
