Did anyone attend the meeting in Cobble Hill last night on the National Marine Reserve proposed for the gulf islands? Was wondering if anyone brought up the question of sportfishing rights/closures, etc.
I had e-mailed Chris Bos of B.C. Anglers a while ago concerning the reserve and he indicated that normally they follow DFO policy (keep in mind that already 30% of the strait is closed) concerning closures but that there also is a very real possibility of wide spread fishing closures.
Anyone attend?
