    SOOKE REPORT AND THANKS!!

My wife and I just got back on Sundayt after a week in Sooke. We had a blast!

I wan't to thank the regulars on this board that helped build our confidence for our first trip ever to Sooke. Thought the fishing was spotty we still were able to scratch out two fish. The first was a #10 Spr on friday caught on an anchovie at 105ft near the trap shack:

The second was caught by my sister in law who viseted us on saturday. 17.5# caught at 30ft on chrome 5.0 coyote:

We tried hard for halibut but had no luck. We even ran to a likely looking spot a couple of miles past Jordan river.

    Here's a couple other shots.

    Early morning breakfast (wink wink):

    Beautiful light house:

Thanks again for the info. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to meet any of you in person. If your headed down to fish the columbia river or just to the portland area please let me know!!

    Sincerely,
    GRIFF

I don't know if it was a small columbian or big spring but it was definetly at 30ft. It was also full of krill.
