Fishin' fantatsic again yest! No large blackies, but several smaler were closely examined <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

DHA One spring &gt; 77 cm, one under, two coho hatch or wild.

Roe Bags The water has not risen any noticeable amount in the last few days. The ground appears to be sucking up all the moisture the sky water produced. Jet rig would be really tough under these conditions. Water has cooled somewhat, and the fish are becoming more aggressive as a result. About 1/3 of ours on spinners the last two, with the balance lined. The Bucket has been very good, as has Butch's Bar and the pullout. Heading to Nitty in less than an hour - bears and springs, maybe a hoe or two. Letcha know what we see.

I was there at first light this morning and stayed for about two hours. There were ten other people at the same place as me.

I was trying my luck with an 8 wt. fly rod and glow bugs (okay, so I am different). Everyone else was using the typical casting gear with float and pencil lead (yarn colours included: green, red, even one guy using blue).

    I caught nothing.

Everyone else was catching lots. Many beautiful coho were landed. All seemed to be bigger than 10 pounds. All looked chrome and bright to me.

I even saw some sockeye released and some small springs released.

By my guess, a third of these fish were flossed. I am pleased to say that I saw all of the obviously snagged fish released. This was generally speaking a good crowd of fishermen (either that or the fact that there were so many people watching that they felt obligated to follow the regulations).

I am going back with my fly rod again tomorrow morning because I am both stupid and stubborn.

Any foe on the Nitty would be much appreciated. I'd imagine the place is an absolute ditch.thanx-the dirtdog
