    heat exchanger caps

I am doing final assembly on my Sangster project boat. I notice one of the rubber caps for the heat exchanger looks a little suspect. Any one know where I would find such an item? A rad shop?

A rad shop wont have them. I'd look at a marine shop or google.
I think holmes grabbed my junk in the "pile on" though....I found it inappropriate but I was released gently; given what we were piling on about I found it educational as to a good release. ~ Pip

Hey Alan, is it for the San Juan Exchangers? The 165 hp 6 cyl. about 3" dia., which mounts vertical on the side of the engine, or is the 4" ones that mount horizontally across the front of the V6 - V8s?

I believe it is the San Juan system, it is 4" dia and mounted vertically to the starboard side of engine. I am going to call San Juan in Bellingham on Monday and see what I can do, perhaps they have a distributor this side of the border.

Get hold of me if they don't, I think I have a couple of extras.
That's the same as the motor I pulled out of "the unknown" hull.

So, how did you make out, did you find the ends you need?
