    sooke potholes!

I went to sooke potholes to day fishing and every cast was a decent sized rainbow.

And I am 6' 2" and 220 lbs of chiselled muscle with the most handsome features ever seen on a human male.

    No, really.

    Leave the smolts alone eh?

    Take care.

As long as you follow the regs, have a good time.

    From the regs:

Single barbless only , catch and release only

Trout: • 2 from streams (must be hatchery)
    And you must release:
All wild trout and wild steelhead from
    streams

The regs state that there is a 100 meter section that is closed but there are other sections in the park that are open.

Cutties maybe..... and sand sharks.. so don't go there.

BGM I would think that the potholes(closure) you are thinking and the ones junior is thinking are quite a ways apart.

That said, junior, there is really very few resident trout below the falls,if any. They would probably be baby steelies (if they were in fact rainbows and not cutties) and they are probably best left alone.

You are within the regs to fish them but just take care in doing so.

I think holmes grabbed my junk in the "pile on" though....I found it inappropriate but I was released gently; given what we were piling on about I found it educational as to a good release. ~ Pip
And Lipripper - until you have been there, I would strongly suggest you STFU. ~ bigbruce

Hmmm. Something tells me those don't exist...
