Family Fishing Weekend June 16-17 ,2012

Just a reminder that next weekend is the Province-wide Family Fishing weekend. All sorts of events around the province.

The Courtenay Fish and Game is hosting a great time at the clubs stocked trout pond at Comox Lake. We even clean and Ice your catch and Thrifty Foods is giving away free hot dogs and pop......SUCH A DEAL!!!!! Watch for the ads in the Echo and Record newspapers this week for more details.

The Victoria Fish & Game Protective Association is hosting a similar event at their stocked trout pond on Saturday June 16. Fishing starts at 10:00 AM and runs until 3:00 PM.
The Freshwater Fisheries Society will be there with their live fish truck and kids can place a trout or two into the pond to replace those caught. Registration takes place at the
upper level main clubhouse. Volunteers to help assist are still welcome. Just show up between 9:00-9:30 at the clubhouse. The location is on the club's Malahat property
off Holker Place which runs off the highway opposite the Spectacle Lake turnoff on the Malahat summit.
