Figure 15 gallons per hour each wide open, about half that cruise..
Im looking at a boat right now that has a pair of 99' yamaha 150 salt water series II with approx. 400 hours on them. they are 2 stroke of course. They would be pushing a 2470 pursuit. What kind of fuel consumption would I realistically be getting? Last thing I want to get into is a boat that I cant afford to run... Any advice or opinons are welcome. Also, I hear lots of good things about the saltwater series engines, have I been mislead??? My previous boat was a 2150 pursuit with a 2 stroke merc 200, which I never found to be a pig on gas. Obviously having twins is different..

My single 2002 150 Yamaha 2 stroke (trxa) would suck back 14-16 gallons an hour at 4200 rpm, 3900lbs load running about 30 mph on a center console boat.

I have a 232 Grady with twin 2001 150 HP HPDI's that run 13-14 GPH at 4000 RPM combinded. I would think the 0X series would be about 20-30% more. Oh ya and plus OIL !!
