    Dead VHF?

My VHF radio will not turn on. It all started after my postive battery cable became loose and I had intermittent power a few times until quickly fixed it. Ever since then radio will not turn on, even after I checked the external fuse(OK) and hooked it up to another 12v power source.

So anyone have any ideas what may have gone wrong?

The radio doesn't have an internal fuse - maybe a bad diode?

Even though the fuse looks ok-change it-I have had a few that looked perfect in circumstances like yours and the fuse was gone but didn't look it. Easiest thing to check and make sure.!!!

I have hooked it up directly to the battery and it still won't turn on. That's why I wonder if it is an internal diode that is gone?

Lost me now-if you are sure there is no internal fuse i'll hand it over to some radio whiz. Good luck!!
