There is a few people that do it off Otter Pt. Seems like a good spot to do it as the beach is right there and it's also close to the road and not a bad place to catch fish either.

That 3rd picture looks like your trolling for seals or whales there.LOL
I do mine the same way Murphy does his and I also have my release clip attached to the gangion cord
I do also. I think it helps in the fact, the fish can't twist the hook out.
I've got a Danforth and for the most part it holds fine. A friend has a Claw and I do think that it may hold a bit better sometimes.
Just found this http://www.ucfamerica.com/FlexirideTechnicalLiterature/TRAILER%20BREAKTHROUGH.pdf
Yes, I have a 23ft boat and have at least a half dozen of those zap straps on. You could also used bigger straps. I have seen people use duck tape all the way up the anchor or used that green galion...
After seeing Strikers trailer on the BST thread that got me thinking also, the only thing I could think of would be less maintenance in the fact that you wouldn't be dealing with rusted out springs?
I have always found that where ever you attach the powder coated object to something that the area around the bolts begins to bubble and the starts to peel.
If I was spending your money I'd go stainless. Nicer look and will always stay that way. Aluminum tends to look old after a short time. JMHO
Close to 50 the last couple years, this year off to a slow start so maybe 35 trips.
I use them both most of the time. My better VHF, I usaully run on scan and the other VHF I have on just to talk to my buddies when there out. Just have to turn the volume down on the other radio when...
I've had two mounted in the last two boats and have never had a problem. I've also seen other boats with this set-up so it must be possible.
Ya didn't believe it myself. Tried it last year on my side curtains and couldn't believe how great they turned out. It also keeps them soft.
Use Pledge spray on polish for the windows works great.
I have both and the rings win all the way. I have heard of the other set-up locking off when you go to pull and are stuck on bottom. Locking off and your ball is now locked off under water. Never has...
Great Post Sculpin. I only wear mine when kids are on board or the weather is $hitty or I'm fishing alone. My own is a full floater suit with strobe light and whistle and handheld VHF. Afte reading...
I also have the Standard Horizon VHF radio and love it. For the price you can't beat it. Just make sure you wire it in properly and your good to go. I don't know it if does it on all plotters, but...
I am beginning to feel your pain SIRA. I have never had to deal with any municipal office myself other then to get a few permits for this and that. I can't believe the the general public would have...
OK so I might be able to park in the last couple spots before the road(as that is the only spots that I fit in) or I'm at Jocks and still don't even know if I fit in there either and pay again to...
Just so I get this right is the new system going to be come to the ramp and launch the boat, pay launch fee hope I get a parking spot(but only if I'm a member if that goes through). If I don't get a...
I'm not local but do use the ramp a lot. I have never really had a problem parking, the odd time I have had to park on the highway( I guess I get there earlier than most)privileged. I don't like the...
I would try the antenna first. Just take the head unit out and try it in someone else's boat that has a antenna. You can then rule the antenna out.
I used that ramp all last year for the first time and thought it was great. My only gripe is that it only has one gangway and finger. It's a pain ferrying boats around. The other thing they could...
High Five you weren't alone we fished 7-2 and had nothing not a great way to start the year.
