All depends on the lake i think. smaller stocked lakes for bait fishing id say april is the best month

I've fished fuller lots, in the winter it seems all the trout get really lazy and jut sit on Bottom looking for an easy meal. Bait fishing with roe or single eggs off bottom works pretty good this...

If your willing to spend a little more money like 400 bucks I highly recommend buying an AVET LX, used thoes on my boat the last 2 seasons and the guests love them, no complaints or anything with them
