Depending on the size of your boat and if you have help launching or if you are doing it solo will dictate where you can or would want to launch?
I use to be about a 20 or 25 day a year guy. Having the cabin for the last 3 years and boat in the water for the summer months has me out closer to 40 days a year. Which is pretty good since I have...
Sculpin....Nice new toys. I like how small that light is. Could it be used as a deck light or only a spot?
Racer......Just my opinion but if you are going through the bother of having the second...
I agree the deeper the better for sure. Here is a shot of my kicker down and I have zero issues with it caviatating our getting the housing wet. It is an XL shaft 2009.......
I have made the progression over the years starting out with 8'6 to 9' and now finally to 10'6 rods for the last 5 years or so. It takes a bit of getting use to but well worth it for the feel IMO. ...
I just put an order in a few days ago at Berrys Bait and Tackle and they have Supertackle 5 packs on for $2.99. I hadn't heard of them before but I got a few Pilchard patterns for Swiftsure this...
Journeyman Instrument Tech. and Electrician working for an Oil and Gas Company.
I went with Stainless for my Seaswirl. I got mine a year or so after I bough the boat from Sherwood and installed myself. I think they had a guy in Vernon fabbing them for them but not positive? ...
Just got back on Sunday after spending the week at the cabin......awesome weather for the first 4 days. We had the aluminum on the water on a couple of the days. Crabbing was good once we found...
The train is pulling out tomorrow morning.......so I'm bumping this up! See ya on the water!
Good to know......I was going to give that area a try with the kids and try to get them into a couple of fish. We'll be out for 5 or 6 days so hopefully I'll get a bit of fishing in? Although I've...
Thanks Optimist........good to hear there are some around then. I have picked up few off Botanical before but a bit later on in the year. If the weather is good I'll give it a go..........Cheers!
Yah for sure. I had it built to use while I'm living away from the coast but also to be my early spring and fall fishing rig when the docks aren't in. Good for doing some beach exploring too.....a...
Thanks guys! I hope to have some better shots of it in action in a week or so. The pictures in the garage are from last night during a full on blizzard! lol Any fshing reports this week will be...
I'll hijack my own thread and post a few shots. :D It's an awesome little boat and I can't wait to use on the coast finally! lol Post a report next time your out.....thanks!
We are coming out to Renfrew for the first week in April to open up the cabin for the year. Just wondering how the fishing has been or if anyone has been out much. I assume that the crabbing is...
I own a cottage at wildcoast but I don't rent mine out. There are several rental units as mentioned earlier. Small cottages but nice and everything you need to be comfortable. The dock won't be in...
I just use a green glow like a Green Ghost or Splatter Back behind a glow flsher. Regular size seems just fine with a slightly longer heavier leader and larger hooks. Although when there are hali's...
Just going through some pictures from last summer and came across this one. The wife must have snapped it while I was in DEEP concentration....lol But its not a bad picture of the OceanMaster...
Definitey a lot less on the drift last summer for me but trolling was really good for hali's. Nothing huge but lots of nice fish.
I take the kids fishing for them sometimes. I use small Deadly Dicks with or without bait attached and just jig them and it seems to work fine. If your in an area that you've caught them before...
I bought a new boat from them in 03 and again in 08. I never dealt with Roger so I can't comment. I had a larger boat on trade the first time around an learnt my lesson dealing with he owner on...
Sounds like they might be SF......Maybe you need to cut a few holes in them to let some prawns out on the way up? lol Cheers!
I wired my Scotty plugs with #10 because I already owned the Ace. Good for 30 amps. It seems to pull as advertised? It doesn't matter as much if you keep your runs short.
