I just never liked how a needle fish hoochie looked with a 6/0 single and swivel shoved into it. Always liked tandem owner 4/0 for that application....
I have to agree with kelly on this one, I like tandem 4/0 owners on 50# leader tied to a snap without swivel then connect this to the trailing swivel...
As for the paint, it should have no problems holding up this is what it is designed to do. Almost every mega yatch is painted with Awlgrip. My uncle...
