I'm sure many here already know this... but it's worth forwarding on through your social media networks. We're preaching to the converted on this forum - we need to keep pushing out this news to our networks and educate non-fishermen about this topic.

Pretty sure the farmers pay for crop insurance. And they are not pollutin the ocean or transferring disease and lice to other animals.

But they are pollution streams and displacing a lot of woodland wild animals.

But you are right they do have much better quainteen practices for disease

For one they are foreign owned. And for two if they had better screening practices for diseased smolts maybe the mortality wouldn’t be so high on some farms.

Easy to see why bones posts replies like this....he just wants to make sure any posts negative regarding Fish Farms are banned.

Really?...the topic was farm subsidies and who is and isn't entitled.

The fish farm topic was shut down because the people here that want farms removed took the thread off topic and attacked a member. Sorta like were you are sfarting to taking this one. If you do not like my opinion........

So gone fishing why is it that aqua farms shouldn't be " bailed out" but agricultural farmers should? You post here but not on topic......do you have something to add?

Bones you resurrected a thread from 2014. This type of action alone is frowned upon on message boards. Not only that but this is a topic that we have discussed at nauseum. Some people hate industry Bailouts, Some people accept them.
