I have a Yamaha 9.9 HT 4 stroke kicker (1996?) that when under load seems to miss fire every 5 seconds. Not sure if it is miss-firing, or has some sort of gear issue. It idles fine in neutral, but when put in gear it runs, makes a "thunk" and then runs, and then "thunk" about every five seconds. I'll take it to a mechanic, but anyone have any thoughts on what it might be, and can you recommend a Yamaha mechanic in the Victoria area?
