wintersprings in barkley sound

hey was just wondering if anybody has been having/or been hearing of anglers having any success for wintersprings?, me n a buddy are planin on gettin my boat ready for the trip down soon, think it will be worth it?<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

Haven't responded to this post cause I'm still fixin my boat up and haven't made it up there yet. I had hoped someone would have made the venture already. Traditionally I have fished there as early as late January but late Feb-Mar is my normal "season opening"

There maps here for the most part, seem to be accurate for winter springs. I would suggest if the herring are in and spawning already, check out Vernon Bay.
