I'm heading for Vancouver Island on Tuesday for 3 days of fishing. I'm trying to decide whether to go to Port Alberni, Telegraph, or Port Hardy. Reports from Port Alberni sound good, anyone heard anything about Malcolm Island or Duval? It's just me in a small boat and it doesn't sound like much is happening close in on the west coast yet anyway. Anyone been flyfishing in Tofino yet? I could do that too. The wife gave me Tuesday to Friday to go nuts, so I hope to enjoy a rare chance to fish without worrying that I need to get back to camp so I can take the family to the beach or an art gallery or some other non-fishing related thing that I don't want to do. Thanks for any reports.
