That's awesome! I have lived in and visited quite a few of those Western Canadian cities growing up on the prairies. Like to think it helped solidify my identity as a true "Canadian"

New a guy from Montana who described the weather as nine months of winter followed by 3 months of bad weather.

Back in my misspent youth, I spent a winter living and working on an island on Scotland's west coast. Spent 28 winters in Canada since then and still haven't experienced such prolonged discomfort as I did that one winter.

In Canada the weather is more accurately described as "nine months of winter, followed by 3 months of poor skiing".
