Just to give you a bit more information about our group. CVRCC was formed just a bit over two years ago when a small group of anglers recognized the growing garbage problem in the Chilliwack River watershed. We started by conducting quarterly river cleanups. Our first cleanup had 20 people out. Today, our regular cleanups attract around 80 people each time! We want to tackle this problem by working closely with the regional district, city, local residents and recreational users such as yourself. I think many of us are taking our precious natural resource for granted and we have a tendency to forget how easy this can all be lost.

Our Adopt-a-River program was originally launched a year ago. The idea is to form a stewardship between the people and the river. The river is divided into sections. These sections are then adopted and taken care by the adopters. There isn't an adopting fee, just good spirit. :)
