It is a spectacular area with a pretty BCFS camp site on a spit into the lake. I have never fished it so can't offer any help there. The only practical route is the Agate Bay road off highway 5 at Louis Creek, good to Adam's Lake but gets rough in spots from there. An SUV or truck is advisable.
The FSR from Squilax is not recommended, it is a narrow and active logging road that is only accessible through the mill yard. Don't even consider the route from Avola unless you have a capable 4wd, that road will give inexperienced drivers grey hairs and religion.
