That Alaskan Grizzly Bear Cam is Back Up

No Bears on view quite yet but I have seen some Salmon on the underwater cam

Sockeye moving in!

Watched a very patient bear for a bit on the top camera and then a grizzly swam right up to the underwater camera. That was very cool.

Some really fat Sockeye in the creek now-thick through the body like Spring Salmon.

Yes, lots of salmon. I've spent a fair bit of time watching and yet to see a bear catch one.

I count at least 14 around tonight including sow with three cubs.

I've been watching a lot. They each have their own spot and technique. If they get a fish and move off to eat it, other bears rarely slide into the honey hole. If they do, they catch **** when the other returns. This rule should be in play in Port Renfrew apparently.

They are so fat. Eating cohoes now.

It's amazing how wide they get.

This was the second place bear, known as 747. This is an actual contest they hold at Brooks each year for the fattest bear.

Bear fight. Apparently it's over who gets to jump into the waterfall and not about catching fish. . Both bears have chunks of skin ripped off.
