suzuki outboard problem,?

ive got an 03 suzuki 90hp four stroke efi. was runing good yesterday but as i was starting to head in to the dock i was just about on a plane then it felt like it was loosing power so i slowed it down then it just shut off and smoke was comming out of the cowling so i took the cowling off and it honestly smelt like burnt rubber, anyone know what the problem would be
i sorta think it could possibly be my fuel pump cause when i pump the ball a couple seconds later i can see gas getting out somewhere in the leg into the water, also theres a white wire connection with a fresh melted hole? any help much appreciated

Sounds like the white wire became "hot" and it fried the casing. Seen it happen before. In my case it was a faulty trim switch. Where does the white wire go to. Something is cooked

i found out today that half my wirring harness melted so thats probs what caused it to smoke
a new wire harness at sherwood marine is 512$ later
anyone know where to find used suzuki outboard parts
