    Hello all,

Is there any streams on the south island other than Goldstream where I can take my kids to view the returning salmon?

Nanaimo river, Cowichan river, Chemainus river, Sooke river most streams should have some fish in them

Charters River off the Sooke has a salmon interpretive centre, demonstration hatchery, beautiful viewing areas, platforms, signage and side channel. Up close and personal similar to Goldstream only better. 1/2 mile before Sooke Pot Holes Parking. www.salmonforsooke.ca

Thanks Pf, it look like a great facility! I hope to make it out there next weekend.

There can be black bears in the area and signs are up warning visitors. Should be other people around but still don't let young kids go wondering off on their own.
