I tried my hand at shore fishing yesterday near the Little River Ferry terminal because it was just too windy for launching a boat.

It turned out to be a productive 2 hours of casting buzz bombs. There were some fish around including a few springs. I manged to catch 2 coho and watched a gentleman lose a very nice spring that just about stripped him of all his line. One fisherman landed a 10 lb spring.

The fish are around and it sure is nice to just have the fish on the line with no flasher. Lots of fight and some good runs with light tackle. I might head back down this afternoon again.
