Salt ice in Vic?

Does anyone know where we can fill our coolers with salt ice in Vic? Used to get it on the reserve by Mt. Newton, but they're no longer operating.

Got it 2 years ago from the seafood place out on the pier in Sydney at a fair price (rare)

They don't have it at the fish market in Sidney. Just came back from there and the guy said it's almost impossible to get here in town. Any ideas? It's too bad the one on the Tsawout reserve is no longer. It was awesome ice.

I just tried Albion and Finest at Sea, neither of them carry it.

The only place I know to get it on Vancouver Island is French Creek Fish (the commercial store, just after the boat ramp) in Parksville. They charge $10/small cooler.

That sucks that Salish sea ice on Mt.Newton on the reserve went out of business. Do they still have the equipment or they selling it? Anyone know?

I did talk with a couple guys there about a month ago. They said the equipment needs repair, and the owner is considering selling it.
