Saanich Inlet recreational prawn opening?

Does anyone know if recreational prawning in the inlet is opening April 1st as in the past?

I was kinda assuming it was T2.....
Very good question however as it doesn't say anything in the regs yet.
Anyone know?

I searched last night on the FOC site and found nothing new on this. Best I could find from a google search was a cached FOC "Fishery Notice" posted December 2, 2016. It states a prawning closure in SI from Jan 1 - Mar 31 and will reopen April 1.

Hard to believe anglers can go off that dated information though. You would expect an update is in order.

Buddy called DFO today, he was told it was opening April 1 but they did not know for how long

I'd guess until at least the commercial Fleet finishes up in June.
