Ranking

Just curious as to the ranking system here "starting member" , "new member" etc is this related to the amount of posts you do or the amount of topics you start ?
Being relatively new to the computer world and older than most on here I think I may ask some funny things about email stuff from time to time so please excuse me beforehand.

I believe its the amount of posts made. If you look in the top right hand corner of your screen and click on the "members" link, it will give you a better understanding.
