Currently running a Honda 115 with a 15 pitch stainless. Top end/cruise is great but the boat is quite slow on the bottom end...slow out of the hole and more critically slow out in the swells. I'd like to look at swapping out for a 4 blade prop as they are reported top give better bottom end performance. Are there any shops on the Island that will let me try one before forking out the $$ (I am in Nanaimo but am willing to travel).
Cheers

There is a prop shop in campbell where the guy knows his stuff. Most shops though should let you try some out.

with a 15 prop your boat should jump out of the water, the lower the number the more low end you have, increase the pitch to a 17 or 19 will decrease the bottom end and increase top end.
