Portable Buddy Heaters

I refill disposable 1lb'ers as well but dont like having to swap them while on the boat. I like to ensure they are sealed properly when installed to the heater and its a bit of a pain while fishing. Most of the time I will use a short adapter hose/filter connected to a 5lb bottle sitting in a 10l bucket behind the heater. Goes all day on high and cost about $5 to fill. Safest option if I know it will be on all day.

Your in luck. Just found out these tanks can't be rectified as horizontal tanks do to the new filler system and these use the old J Tube system. The guy said though they should be able to still be rectified as vertical tanks. I can remove the feet and leave the top mounting bracket to secure the tank upright in the boat still and use them as vertical tanks.

One thing to be aware of, when they go to change the valve if the threads strip the tank is garbage
and they won't cover it.( brass valve vs.alum tank)
Just thought i would mention .
