Panther kicker bracket warning

Hey just throwing out a warning for anyone running the panther kicker bracket that mounts flat to a swim grid. I've had a couple issues recently that if I hadn't noticed could've resulted in losing my kicker. The welds on the top of the bracket have broken right through and also the metal surrounding the motor mounts has bent and cracked. In their defence I have a very heavy kicker (etec 15ho) but the website claims it's good to hold anything up to 20hp. If you are running this setup maybe keep an eye on it. I think my bracket is a couple years old now so it hasn't seen a lot of use .

Your Etec 15 hp. weighs about 180lbs. I noticed on their website that they refer to that bracket as suitable for lightweight auxillary motors. There does not appear to be a weight rating for your particular model, however none of their brackets rated for 20hp are designed for over 132 lbs. Good thing you spotted it.
