Hey guys, I pulled the trigger and just purchased a brand new defiance 220.

I pick it up tomorrow and will post more photos when I get it wet.

Couple pics from today breaking in the motor managed to put 4 hrs in, Absolutely blown away by how great everything turned out. Had the espar heater going and was toasty warm.

Nice Boat! Looks like it has good visibility all around. I really like the glass door. What is the freeboard? Defiance looks pretty low. The rails make up for it I guess.

Gunnel height is 24.5" from deck, 31" to top of railing from deck. It definetly does not feel low to me but id the rail wasn't there that may be a different story. It's higher than my old trophy 1802 and love having the pod it opens things right up back there.

Thanks for all the comments, this is my dream boat and looking to have many memories with my wife and daughter out on the water.

You only live once!!

Looks like it'll be a great family boat and one you can kill a few cans with the boys on. Making the switch to enclosed with the heater really opens up the winter. I put 250 hours on the water this winter because of the cab and wallas heater.

I had to switch to pilot house/cuddy to get the wife and kids on board more. Hopefully this summer they will get into it.
