Minimal risk to wild Fraser River sockeye due to pathogen transfer from BC Salmon Farms

First we must address why fresh water trout are becoming ill from Sockeye bringing the disease from farming pens - and into fresh water streams and lakes. Sockeye may survive the virus, but if they have to migrate hells gate on a bad year, they lose strength and usually big die-offs from having the aids virus attacking them. Lots of stress on these fish already to migrate heavy river flows, why introduce disease to make it more difficult.

What and where are trout are becoming ill? What disease are sockeye transferring? Aids virus? really?
