Marlin in Saanich Inlet

Hi All,
my brother went fishing yesterday in Saanich Inlet, Vancouver Island., and came across this at the boat launch... any explanation? Apparently it looked fresh

There were two Tuna heads, and 8 salmon heads as well

My guess would be that a local took a trip down south and brought back their catch to mount and tossed the carcass

I hear from a few people in the past month that a marlin was caught by tuna fishermen off the WCVI. Not sure where exactly but there have been reports of marlin working their way up the coast in recent years with the warmer weather. I'm sure the commercial tuna guys would be in a better position to comment on this.
