Looking for accommodations in or near Steveston

Don't know the area all that well could anyone recommend good accommodations in the Steveston area.

I grew up in Richmond, but it has changed some. The Steveston Hotel is right by the docks, reasonable rates and decent food/pub, but old. The Riverrock Casino hotel isn't too far- 11 km or so if you have an itch for craps/cards.
Most of the other Richmond hotels are geared toward airport short stay travelers. There's lots.
