I ran out of gas the other day, so fed my 4-stroke briggs
my premixed 2-stroke gas.
thought it would smoke,stall,carbon up....
Guess what , runs like a charm. no smoke, no problem.

The 2 strokes usual burn the same mix without smoking any noticeable amount. I think most of us who think of smoke from burning mixed gas get our impressions from the old 20-1 or 25-1 mixture days.I ran out of gas in my chev pickup a while back and it didn`t seem to mind the 50-1 I threw in it to get to the gas station.

I used to have a 1970 duster 340 and the compression ratio had been bumped up to 10-1 and it did not like all fuels so when I could not get a high enough octane I dumped a little two stroke oil in the tank and the pinging stopped and it ran like a turpentined cat.:D:D
