Ice Off in Golden Area

Can anyone tell me if the lakes above 1500m are ice free yet in the Golden area? Can't seem to find any tackle stores in Golden to call. Hoping with the early warm spring the lakes might be ice free now.

Those are some of my favorite lakes for chronie fishing... All my fly fishing friends headed up there this weekend for 5 days so I would imagine they are ice free.

Thanks for the reply. Are they fishing the high elevation lakes above 1400m as there's many other lakes several hundred metres lower which I'm sure would be ice free. I like to go hit the brookie lakes as soon as the ice is off.
