Haida Gwaii

Releasing a fish like that is nothing short of amazing. Spend 10-20 mins reviving it boatside, get to know the beast, waiting for it to repower and kick free from your hands...watching it return to the sea from whence it came, on its mission to reproduce and give you more big fish to catch next year.

Or it could lay dead in the fish box. Whoop dee doo.

Possibly.. Or it may get hammered by a whale, get caught by a commercial boat, caught in a native net in the river, get hammered by a bear in the river or die on a rock someplace on its way up the river. Just because it gets set free there is no guarantee it's going to spawn. If one keeps it we know for sure it won't reproduce I know.. Each to their own,, I judge no man for doing either as long as it's done legally have at er..

It could whence come from a jar in my cupboard too,, nothing wrong with that as I spread it over some nice rye bread with lettuce from the garden Mmm good..
