A lot of them are stacking up in breasted where the Okanagan river meets the Columbia. Also if you going fishing in Washington you can keep 6 sockeye but in Canada you can keep only 2
Slow fishing in the south end of Osoyoos lake , 3 in 3 hours Thurs a.m. . 2 & 3 lb'rs
$20 rv site , $1 / L diesel , $16 Bacardi 151 @ d/f , overall a good but short fish'n trip
5 oz lead , #1 silver dodger , Macs Sockeye Cha-cha
Sounds like you went as much for the US goodies as the fish. North end of Osoyoos Lake is where the sockeye stack up. That's the deepest and coolest water in the lake.
Sockeye run into the Okanagan is forecast as smaller than last year's record but they are on the way. They opened July 1 in Brewster Pool (confluence of the Okanagan and the Columbia).
I have been told that there is a good chance they will not open in osoyoos lake unless we get a lot of rain so they can make there way up the okanagan river from Brewster
