Again Courtenay Fish and game is hosting a Family Fishing Weekend. The pond at the Comox lake clubhouse will be stocked with approx. 2000 rainbows. Got young kids that are just getting into to fishing? Or seniors that have not gone fishing for years? Here is their chance. No gear?? We have over 50 sets of loaner gear . Club members will do their best to make sure everyone takes home a couple of pan fries. Their catch will be cleaned, and iced down before they head for home. Thrifty Foods will again be supplying water, pop and hotdogs for free!
Other communities are also hosting opportunities to go fishing for free across the Province on or near Fathers Day. We all had to start somewhere-- and this is a great opportunity to get someone into fishing.
