fake wood interior

Refinishing a boat and it has a lot of plywood with fake wood grain in the interior. Any tips on what works to get it looking good again?

I am tempted to just paint it but if there is another option I'm all ears?

Murphy oil/soap should work...

It may be Teak Laminate, a very thin layer over pt plywood, if this is the case, and it is not just vinyl, TEAK OIL works wonders.

I have used both of the above and wouldn't have a problem with either, but I would first try a plain linseed oil or a medium</u> alkyd oil first. Either will work well and produces a high gloss coatings for wood and most artificial wood finishes. Also, produces a good waterproofing and is cheaper!

Think thin coats. If put on too thick, it will take forever to dry!
