Elk lake carp

Use a long, strong, but flexible rod and around 12-20 lb. test line. Stinky dough balls right on the bottom are a typical bait. Must wait a long time for them to come to you if you do not know of spot that they frequent. When they take the bait, must wait up to 10-20 seconds for them to swallow and start to swim away. They have very sensitive mouths and if you set the hook too soon they will spit it out quickly. One there on the hook, hang on they are powerful fighters!

Lots of info on how to catch them on the web. This is a big fishery in the UK and Europe.
