X2 two 7" units will be so much more usable than a single 9"

I have 2 7s . It works well having one for chart and one for sonar.

We went with the HDS 9 and hydraulic steering. We also added a rear steering station rather than the intellisteer. I'll get some pictures up once its installed. Thanks everyone for the advice.

I have intellasteer in my boat install was super straight forward and all parts came in the kit the remote turns off automatically if use is not detected. Have used in pack fishing and love it

I'll speak to the Lowrance and the Insight Genesis mapping. You don't realized how bad some of the maps on Navionics chips are until you compare them side by side (I've done this on other posts to show.) I can't see myself going away from Lowrance now. This year I am upgrading to a new unit with built in wifi and plan to have an ipad in a waterproof case at the rear helm of my boat:
