Doing research on how adults learn to be Effective Salmon Fisherperson's without overwhelming themselves with too much information. I have read C.White's book, Dennis Reid's book and tried without success to catch something in Port Renfrew a couple of weeks ago. Would love to get just some great success stories from ordinary folks who haven't mortgaged their homes to be good salmon fishers. Thanks, Finner

Jeeez, Dogbreath, don't mince your words man! LOL <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> hehehehehe

And Finner, go into your favourite local tackle shop to ask some questions. Often they will get you on the right track for the action that's happening at the time you're heading out.

Hi Dogbreath I have access to a boat - only tried saltwater so far. Wish I checked here , already booked a trip with Reid but I do find his book a good way to get to sleep.

Yep, the people at Island outfitters will get you steered in the right direction.

Talk to people on the docks after a days outting that were succesful. Most people are pretty good and will show you what they were doing to catch fish.

If you can make the browns bay derby, you will catch fish, or someone will show you.
