I'd like to take my young son fishing for sea-run Cutthroats in mid-July. I plan on fly fishing; my son would be spin casting. I recently spotted an interesting site at the mouth of the Muir river, near French Beach, west of Sooke. Would anyone know if this is a spot worth trying this time of year, and if so, what kind of gear should we use? And if not the Muir, what about the Jordan river?
