Fishery Notice - Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Subject: FN0093-Groundfish: Coast-wide Closure and Opening

The Category ZN (Inside and Outside), Category T (Groundfish Trawl), Category K
(Sablefish) and dogfish fisheries will close 23:59 February 20, 2009. All fish
caught by these fisheries must be landed no later than midnight Friday,
February 27, 2009.

The Category ZN (Inside and Outside), Category T (Groundfish Trawl), Category K
(Sablefish) and dogfish fisheries will re-open 00:01 on Saturday February 21,
2009.

Temporary re-allocation requests (for all species) for the 2008/2009 season
must be submitted to GMU prior to 16:00 February 20, 2009.

Upon licence issuance, initial IVQ sheets will be available. These sheets
indicate the initial allocation of quota, but do not include carryover of
underages or overages from the 2008/2009 season.

Calculation of overages and underages will occur once all QSRs and temporary
reallocation requests have been processed. We anticipate updated figures to be
available by mid-March.

Note that permanent and temporary reallocations for the 2009/2010 season will
not be permitted until the carryover adjustments have been calculated.

The commercial Halibut fishery will re-open on Saturday March 21, 2009 and the
commercial Lingcod fishery will re-open on Wednesday April 1, 2009.

Variation Order Nos: 2008-132, 2008-133, 2008-101, 2008-100, 2008-304, and 2008-
