Cancun Charter Recommendations

Heading down to Cancun area for part of Spring Break mid-March. Looking for a chance to do some deap sea fishing off the coast there. Looks like we'll have upwards of 8-10 members of the group who want to go fishing (half adults, half mature kids), with some staying in Cancun, others in Playa del Carmen area.

I've searched the site and seen a couple of recommendations, namely for Puerto Aventuras guide Robert Navaro (who uses small boats) and Wasabi Loco Charters also from Puerto Aventuras. Am wondering if anyone has any other recommendations, notably out of Cancun directly?

Also, what are the chances of catching a tuna this time of year? Or Mahi Mahi or other fish worth freezing and possibly bringing home? Any feedback welcome. Thanks!

The reason people recommend travelling to Puerto Aventuras or Playa del Carmen is because fishing is that much better further south-it's only an hour drive.

Hiring 2 boats means you can make a derby out of the day-8-10 is too many for anything but the oldest slowest scow.
