Finally the winds have settled down. With the south easters blowin, it's been hard to get out on the chuck. Have had 4 charters over the last two weeks. The prawning has been fantastic with 2 icecream pails full with each set. Around the Lighthouse there are lots of bluebacks in the area, which is a good indicator of what's coming this summer. At least half of them have been hatchery fish. Chinooks have been fewer and in the 5 to 6lb range. The sounder is showing lots of bait in the area and the birds have been busy, so there should be more Chinook showing up at any time. Since we have been having a lot of winds lately, we have been traveling north to Deep Water Bay. Can't keep the bluebacks off the gear. Was out the other day and we must have hit over 24 Coho. From spoons, to 4" hootchie, to 5" hootchie to 5" plugs and they were still hitting. A week ago, one of the guide boats hit a 37lb Chinook! So, we know that there are a few around!

Tight lines,
