Bow ladder

Anyone have a set up for boarding a boat at the bow when beached? I'm looking for ideas.

The kids just love going to beaches to explore when we are out on the water, but things would be easier if I had a ladder to make getting on and off easier.

I have a bow pulpit, but the anchor and windlass are probably a bit in the way.

I did this on my old boat. The ladder fits into two sockets so I could remove it for storage. Zoom in on the pic and you’ll see what I mean.

If I did it again I’d think about putting a hinge on the bottom and add a few more rungs so it rested on the beach and was self adjusting to any slope. 5F96A060-A70B-42AC-B38E-01B207CB4D37.jpeg

The cutwaters at the boat show had bow ladders. I thought it was pretty cool too! Maybe google some pictures of them to see.

A bit off the wall.

Not ideal, and I get that the height and stability of the ground where you put it will play into its effectiveness. But a simple collapsible step ladder might do . A friend does this on a 24(?) Thunderjet. It looks like this and folds up flat.

Cheap, stowable, no mods needed and will work just fine for most instances.
